I have a Kenwood Patissier which I adore, my mum has the Kenwood chef Titanium (?) and gets on well with it xx

I have the titanium chef and love mine, I use it loads. But it was quite expensive. I found the best price online and got it with a cash competition win I had. So I suppose I effectively got it for free hurrah!

I too have a Kenwood Chef and I love it! The only thing that I find is making small amounts of anything then I need to use a handheld mixer - I bought a cheap one from tesco I think and that has been fine.

I realise that they are not cheap but they will last for ages.

sorry it took me so long to post, I got my breville mixer today and have already made a white loaf and 6 bread rolls with it, Im really impressed, I realise its on the lower end of the market but I would suggest if you are looking for a budget version that does the job, haave a look on the wilkinson website

altho just a word of warning , I have had issues with themm delivering it, but nothing patience couldnt handle

I didnt realise but it can be secctioned off to be a hand mixer as well, which I thought was great, it has a rotating bowl and comes with two types of whisk and dough hooks (which i used today and performed admirably)

I have only used it once but am very impressed

hope this helps in any way, good luck with your search

    xx

A kenwood for me too :) if you don't want to ask for one as much you can get an older one off of ebay for about fifty quid?

I've been meaning to post this for ages, but never seemed to find the time!

I decided to look on Ebay for a second hand one. I've always been the sort of person that is particular about what something looks like, but was trying to be practical found one that looked like it was cream and brown. I'd have much preferred a white one, but they were coming up too dear. The picture had an orangey tinge to it, but I told myself the seller could not take very good photos.

Anyway, won the said auction. Desparate to pick it up immediately, I nearly had a heart attack, when the guy brought out a bright orange pure 1970's coloured mixer.

I am now very proud of myself, as I love my Kenwood, have now stopped wearing sunglasses to do the baking, but pat myself on the back as I probably got it £20 cheaper, cos when I re-looked at the photo it was very obviously orange and not his photo taking ability at all!!!

    I'm cured

Like many others i would say Kenwood but build quality is no where near as good on the newer models ( which i own) had old ones in the past much better but still the best in my eyes

I have a Kenwood Prospero - mainly because it takes up less space. It is not as good build quality as the old Chef my mum had 30 years ago, but it is good and it is quiet. After 25 years of having to stand there and hold a hand mixer it is an absolute pleasure to stick everything in the bowl, turn it on, and leave it. It seems pretty good to me.
