refund from website?

Hi all
I ordered some goods from a camping website, and contacted the company when the items didn't arrive. I was told two of the items were out of stock and they were waiting for a delivery, but I could have a refund if I wanted. I requested a refund as the items were needed for a camping trip the next day.
I have waited almost 3 weeks for a refund and have still not received it. The original order was made on 19th March, refund accepted on 31st March. I'm short of cash so need the refund as soon as possible, and also I'm concerned that given the delay/poor communications they may not make the refund at all.
Does anyone know what my rights are in this case? Is there an ombudsman I can report the website to if the refund isn't received, or anything legal that I can quote that may nudge the website to provide the refund?
Thanks!

They have a maximum of 30 days from the time you cancelled to pay the refund, so they have some time to go yet.0

ah, thanks Neil, that's useful
this has brought up some general issues about buying from websites, so would be interested to hear from anyone who knows whether there is an ombudsman I can report the website to if the refund isn't received after 30 days, or anything legal that I can quote to nudge them to provide the refund. cheers.0
