BT reconnection again

After my Dad & his missing BT line, I've now got my recently widowed aunt to sort. She's currently on a ludicrous Virgin TV/Phone/BB package that my late Uncle sorted, I've not seen the bill but the last one was around £60.

She'll go Freeview for the telly,as for phone & BB she has been recommended Talktalk by some relatives.
Not a bad idea in itself, the package should be fine for her, but there's the BT line reconnection. Is it possible to go straight on to Talktalk? If so would there be a huge fee from BT to reconnect the line? The line to the house is there, but the BT socket was ripped out during redecoration.

On the face of it this looks like an ideal case for the BT cheapo reconnection offer. Her exchange is well served LLU wise (search for Arnold on Samknows), I thought O2 would be good, but haven't looked at others.

What do you think?

BT reconnection at £29.99 seems suitable.
As for broadband, O2 would be the best unlimited LLU service at £7.50 with the O2 mobile discount or £12.50 without.
Or if your aunt is a low user then the Plusnet Value package at £6.49 is also a good deal, you can get this price on your exchange which is market 3. Thishas a 10GB per month cap.
Qidco cashback is also available on both thee options.
Give TT a very wide berth, little point on that exchange when you have better options at little more cost.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Just spoke to her & she had already been on to TT who were set to get her going for £40 connection, then the line rental & £6.99 Eve/WE/BB package, with a 2 year contract. She then phone Virgin to cancel & got a magic discount, BB, TV (not sure what package) & phone (not sure of call package) for £30 PM for 12 months. She's quite astute considering she's never had to do any of this, & has decided to stick with this as she has so much other stuff to sort out. She'll take another look in 12 months.
