I can't check my balance as at boyfriends, but £200 direct debit to go onto it....I think it will leave me at about £650...if I average £10 a day it will be gone by 9th Aug....hmmm how can I make that £10?!

    Hi again everyone :hello:

Well done everyone, love all the stuff about how together it seems like we are doing more, you are all so inspirational :)

Managed another £36 today leaving £79 I may have to up my target next month but to save any work I'll just keep adding. I know the interest will make a mockery of what I have paid but it feels so good actually tackling the dreaded Vanquis :). I am so looking forward to the day I am telling them I'm closing the account...........long way off yet but this thread is really helping me focus, it has just sort of crippled me before knowing what a difference the interest makes which is why I got rid of two small debts for the last two challenges but thanks to all of you for keeping me going :smileyhea

  • When I started this thread I never thought that I would ever manage more than my min payment on debts but reading how people do it on this site encouraged me to give it a go. I cant believe I actually paid of £100 on top of all my other bills at present. I have £150 left on my dp card and would like to try and clear it before the end of the challenge but with numerous hen parties and car costs it might be hard.

Thanks to everyone on this thread. It is good to know that I am not the only one with the dreaded credit cards and loans and reading how people always pay that bit extra motivates me to do the same to try and get out of debt.

    So thanks everyone:)
