Overpayment for Tax Credits !!!!!

Checked my account and noticed still no Tax credits payed in!!! When i phoned them after 40mins on my mobile they informed me of an overpayment of £1300! Very shocked as i have informed them of each change in circumstance. They said there is a letter in the post. Not Happy what should i do?:(

wait for your letter, to see what the overpayment is for?

if you have told them each time of an increase, i see no fault at your end,

Once you have the letter you will have clearer details and can go from there.

Also add up every single payment you have received into your bank and check the figure against the amount that TCO claim to have paid you - A few years ago I was told that I'd been massively overpaid despite informing them of every change in circumstances.

Six months later I had a light bulb moment, checked 12 months of bank statements and hey presto I'd actually received nearly 3k less than the TCO Thought I Had. Turned out that It was a computer glitch and managed to sort it out once I had the evidence !!!

    Good luck
