Telemarketing calls even at 08:30am!!

Just want to vent some steam having just recvd a call from a telemaketing company (0800 0470596) on behalf of a company relating to the Euro Millions Lottery? You know straight away what sort of call it is and they put on this "How are you today...blah blah blah" and they try tempt you into a conversation which you don't want when you are trying to get sorted for a busy day ahead!
As soon as I said where did you get my number (and name?) and pointed out that we are on a Tel preferential List (or whatever it is) the phone goes dead - not even so much as an apology!! :mad:
I think I'll petetion my local mp to get a law in to stop these calls altogether, they are a damn nuisance and not only that, can upset and confuse elderly or the more vulnerable people who I know get bombarded with them!
It's time they were stopped!!
