they can do this yes, although i agree 16 weeks is longer than the usual 12 weeks, have you asked if they have all the information they need?i`d give it another week then tele them again0

I agree with woodbine call them and check that they have all information. Also may be an idea that you contact anyone you put on the form to supply additional information ie Dr's/specialist if they have been contacted by DLA.
My daughters claim went on for ever and a day they said they were waiting for information from her school. I took their word for it. I contacted the school as normally they are very good and it turned out DLA hadnt even contacted them, Keep on the phone note evry time you have called them and who you spoke to.
Hopefully it is sorted soon" I would not change you for the world, but I would change the world for you"

thanks for the advice i rang last week and they said they are waiting for his last claim so they can tie the 2 together the old claim was his child claim the new claim is as an adult. i guess they are still waiting not a lot has changed for him though if anything it is worse as he has autism and adhd and as he is leaving supported education we dont know what he will do next! he has very bad organisation skills and easily distracted!0

Try chasing it via your MP, losing part of it once is human error but to lose more than one part on 5 separate occasions sounds more like a hole in their procedure or total incompetence.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
