Does anyone know of places that has a selection of dresses that are not strapless. Have seen a couple but no-one seems to have a selection. DD doesn't really suit this style and would like to be a bit different. Making a possibility but need to try on styles before making up mind. Shops in Glasgow area or online.

I've no idea whether you're looking at 'full budget' dresses or something more economy. As I'm in the latter area I can't tel you about any particular designers etc, but Monsoon have some nice dresses that are halter neck0

Good for your daughter! I wish some other brides of my acquaintance had recognised that they looked dreadful in strapless dresses. But no, they followed the herd.
I can't help you with any contacts but I'm wishing you all the best in your search for a different style of dress.0 -
I def didn't want a strapless dress also. I don't know if I suit them but I just don't really like having bare shoulders and would never have bought any dress that was strapless so i was never going to buy a strapless wedding dress. I ended up buying one from White rose which I love but there is various lines from each designer and if you contact bridal shops they will have some I am sure.“A house is made of walls and beams;a home is built with love and dreams.”2012 Challenge to buy most gifts and non essentials from money made online.:money:0

Hi
I too dont want strapless, and have been lucky to have tried on quite a few with proper straps, not the rubbish bits that they can attach to any dress.
The manufacturers I have tried are Pronovias, Atelier Diagonal (part of Pronovias) and Cosmobella (part of Demetrios), I am on a mission to try on as many strapped dresses as possible before making my choice, its like finding a hen's tooth though, I want to be different!!!! I will let you know what else I find.

My gorgeous wedding dress has straps and is from Sottero and Midgely (not very mse) but it is the only extravagant thing I will have.
A lot of the dresses that I tried which had the option of having straps didn't look right in my opinion (they looked obvious that they were strapless dresses made into one with straps), so I went for one with good solid straps which were part of the design and they support my boobs!0 -
I have a strapless dress, but really was uncomfortable with my skinny arms and shoulders being on display, so the lovely Linda is making me a lovely jacket to go over the dress, as she has my dress too, she is able to design the jacket around the dress. And its going to look stunning!!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

Rachael thats great that there are places that do strappy dresses im looking for one aswell - strapless just dont suit me and im glad there are other people looking for them.
Adding straps just doesnt help its the style that im looking for.0 -
My dress is this one from Mori Lee, its strapless but I've ordered 1m of tulle (the same one used to make the waist bit) and am making some straps for it, as I feel naked and a bit tarty in strapless as while I'm slim I'm a bit busty. I found it impossible to find a dress I liked in the strappy section, as they all seemed either spagetti straps or these huge industrial things, these will be pretty and delicate and fit with the dress, so don't rule out strapless - just get it altered!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
