Ebay eggs by post

Hi, I bought some Geese hatching eggs on Ebay and all have proved infertile so I have opened a SNAD. Will I be told to return the eggs for a refund and if so will the post office accept what will now be rotten eggs ?( after nearly 3 weeks in the incubator at 99 F). If not what options do I have?
Thanks
Thanks

Have you had any contact with the seller? Do they want them sending back?My daughters are my world0

Are you allowed to buy/sell eggs on ebay or do they fall under the 'live animals' category? If they do I'm pretty sure you won't get any help from eBay about getting a refund and you'd have to sort it out directly with the seller. If you wrap the eggs properly and mark the package as fragile you don't need to tell the PO what's in there if you're scared they won't post them.D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0

Yes, you are allowed to sell hatching eggs on ebay. However, unless the seller guaranteed 100% fertility I can't see why the OP should open a dispute.0 -
Seller doesn't want to replace them - thinks its not his problem as the royal mail must have treated them roughly ; which is entirely possible. Just wondering what to do when/if ebay say return for a refund. Might just send the shells back but i suppose they might say i 'damaged ' them
Masterbrown - if you want them for omlette you're more than welcome - sounds like an excellent obesity treatment0 -

Cos you can't hatch out infertile/damaged eggs so they are not 'hatching eggs'
And it's not 100% fertility i'm complaining about ; it's 0%0 -

It does look as though they may be allowed provided it was a within the UK transaction.
Given that the seller knows about it and doesn't want a return they should just refund without..0 -
How do you know they wern't fertile?
Could be transporting them or could be you didn't look after them correctly. Did you turn them correctly? Was the incubator at the correct teperature and humidity?0 -

Yep - could well be transportation. My understanding of ebay rules is that it is sellers job to get goods to me in good condition
They are in an auto turn incubator with digital thermometer and as for humidity that will affect the latter stages of development and hatching success (i.e. the number of 'dead in shell') not the initial development.0
