Sorry not much off my list here. I've been having a hard time at the moment so went to bed with BD all day and stayed there. I'll try better tomorrow but everything is on top of me just now.

Hi everyone ...hope you all had a lovely weekend and no one is too affected by the ash…it all seems a bit odd reading it in the papers and not being affected. Its been lovely weather here so I’ve managed to get all my backlog of washing and ironing done over the weekend. OH helped me on Sunday and we got loads of last weeks list done…so on to the next. Not going to get much done until Thursday when I have a day off, have crossed off little things that I have done already..

FFP ((have a squishy one)) x

Pigpen, I used to do that....more because my Dad did the laundry as he'd been medically retired when I was 11. Anyway he caught me out, but being better at dealing with these things than my Mam ever was bought me a box of napisan, a box with a lid and told me I could use that to soak them then put them in the washer on a morning and just mention they were in and he would sort them out. Such a relief for me who no matter how many times he said it didn't bother him, I wouldn't have felt comfortable with it.

Well I flew and flew and flopped, the kitchen has not been cleaner since we moved in :D actually probably cleaner than then too but now I ache :rotfl: DP says it's done because I am avoiding my essay .... how very dare he lol ... but he's rightish

I've now got even less time to do my assignment but a vital meeting tomorrow, DS1s transition meeting for his switch to mainstream for senior school......EEEK.....and I can't think of anything else apart from that now DS2s first day went ok, not 100% but ok.I need to try not to cough through it, got GP appointment Wednesday as I've had this cold for 5 weeks again

(((hugs))) for you all and wishing all those stranded a safe journey....wish the flights would hurry up and get sorted as WIL has had her's delayed so she's still here.....grrr :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........

    Quick update:
Tidied kitchen, plants watered, emptied TD and distributed dry stuff to appropriate places, re-loaded TD, found timer switch for DH to declutter to work, filled in DS1's DofE form (he's off on Friday morning, need to shop and pack - and get birthday present for party DS2 is going to after school on Friday ). Decluttering cuppa and biscuit, then starting the WM, finding dinner money and off to bed, I think. Oh, I've also owned up to DH about buying the playhouse. He knew it was coming, but not entirely happy. Never mind. ;) Looks like it's going to be a mad week, but at least they have a minibus for the expedition at the weekend, so no lift to/from Derbyshire required. :j

    Morning lovely flyladies,
    6.gifLamewolf - Hope you have a great day! bdaycake2.gif
Toots - Hope you are Ok after your lunchtime incident. love.gif Oh and we say 'Mad as a box of frogs' here too but no idea why, and one I picked up years ago from an american friend was 'I'm as fine as froghair split three ways' though it doesn't sound right without a southern american drawwwllll..
LadyL - smooch.gif Big hugs honey. No thanks needed, you know I am always here to listen. xx
    Jinkypinks - kiss.gif
    Boddy - hugs.gif
froddington - glad to have you back!
Pooh - I hope your husbands leg gets better quickly
summermoon - Well done on passing!
Jenny - congrats on your upcoming wedding. Though after all those years together is it ok to ask why you are getting married? I am not being sarcastic, I am really interested as I have been with my OH for 16 yrs but once we got about 5 yrs in, somehow the idea of a wedding seemed superfluous.
    Funfair - big hugs hon
Woke up about an hour ago feeling icky and sure enough was sick everywhere so coming online was a good distraction. Over all I am feeling better though frustrated I cannot get out and enjoy the wonderful sunshine. Two weeks of consecutive sunshine and I am 'trapped' indoors.. giggle.gif All that gardening to do..
Hope everyone has a good day. With love, light and

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.

  • So my list today is:
    • Feed tadpoles.
    • Answer/clear 30 mins of emails twice
    • Ring Barclays
    • Ring Natwest
    • Ring Taunton hosp.
    • Brush the cat when she gets on the bed next to me.
Short and sweet again I am afraid!
