Council Housing on IVA

Hello, I hope someone can advise. I am two years into an IVA and all is going well so far, however my housing situation may have to change soon and I would appreciate some advice.

I am currently lodging (rent-a-room) privately. Am I right that if I applied to be on a local authority council housing waiting list there would be a credit check (which I would no doubt fail until my IVA is completed) ???

Hi Chill out, Peeps don't live on here they do have other lives you know.
Don't take this as gospel but I know that my local council,they don't run credit checks on you! They need references from previous landlords to see whether rent was kept up with,and that the place was well cared for etc. They need to know these things and they will be kept on file.
