Bidder wins my item, then says he doesnt want it!!!!!

I sold a W810i on eBay, it was on Vodafone and the winning bidder bidding the last seconds of the auction. He then messaged me 2 minutes later saying he thought it was on Orange and doesnt want the phones. He also said 'you can put it back on the market as its no use to me now'.

Thats for one a bit rude and not my fault that he didnt read the auciton before bidding.

What shall I do? go through the NPB dispute? or get a FVF refund via that mutual agreement thingy!?!?!?

I dont want to second chance offer it because the item just met my asking price and I didnt put a reserve on it, was quite lucky there.

Thanks,

-MoE-

Don't go through the mutual agreemnet because he may say no and you're stuffed.
Judging by the buyer he sounds like he wont be too cooperative.
File a NPB unfortunately you have to wait seven days and if he responds he can leave feedbackso wait and see before negging him.

Go for a straight NPB, don't do a mutual. If the buyer does not respond to the nPB then he can't leave you a feedback rating.

I would go for an NPB - if this buyer has doen this once he will do it again - therefore stop him!

  • I have had this, sold something only to be told they didn;t want it. In my situation I replied to the seller to say I had incurred FVF fees and in order to get these back I would have to file a NPB. I was very lucky as they agreed to pay these and they even left me a positive feedback.

Why don't you pop over to the mobile phone thread and get information on how to unlock the mobile phone for free! It takes 30 seconds if that ...

That way, your sale is still on as he will be able to put an Orange Sim into it :)

W810i - I dont think it can be unlocked for free. I asked a member on there and he said I should pay him £9 to do it which is cheaper than eBay and shops. When I agreed I got no respond, so what the hell!

Yes, my mistake. Just had a look and found out that you need to have a cable.

Take it down to your local market and get them to do it cheap then? lol. :)
