What info to display on website

Hello,

I am sorry if this is the wrong forum, I wasn't sure where to post it.

I have a driving school and a website advertising my services and that of my instructors. Do I legally need to display my business address (my home address) on the website?

I am not a limited company, I am a sole trader. People do not pay for any lessons etc via the website, it's just an information website.

Thanks for any advice :)

You might be better off posting this in the Small Business forum.

I'm not sure if you do have to display your address or not, but I think the registered address of a company can be a PO Box, so that's a possibility to look into if you don't want your home address widely known.

Have a look Here for the e-commerce regulations

Thanks for your reply. It's not actually an e-commerce website; I was wondering if similar rules to the e-commerce ones relating to selling things online applied to just an information site. I do sell a service of driving lessons, but no-one pays for anything via the website. They just get information.
    Thanks again :)

If your using your site for advertising your business then the e-regs apply

OK thanks, that's what I needed to know. I don't think any of my competitors follow this rule! But I will put my address on. Thanks again.
