Im after some stuff, that im really struggling to find / choose online.

I require..

1x Alloy bottle carrier, and bottle

1x Spare Inner tube to fit 700x28C

1x Bag to go onto the frame to carry
  • 15mm spanner
  • spare tube
  • tyre levers
  • method of inflation
The bike i bought does not have quick release spindles, so its the old 15mm spanner method. Ive seen that you can buy the spindles online, and was wondering if it was difficult to replace them. I bought a cheap bike from amazon (Vitesse Spring for £120) to cycle to work and back, and was in the market for some stuff to go with it incase i start to cycle further than work.

Any ideas, im really really new to all of this.

You will need new hubs (therefore new wheels!) for your wheels as your current ones wont have the hole through the middle to take the quick release spindle.

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ are a good online retailer for bike stuff (not always the cheapest but where I start looking)

Try Asda, Tescos or Wilkinsons. On a budget their stuff will do you fine. Wilkinsons Spare tyres are made by Kenda and are sub £2.00.

Tesco stocks a lot of very cheap stuff for bikes.
Bottle carrier, inner tubes, puncture repair kit and a bag which clamps to the saddle all there

Got a short 'emergency' pump with mount from poundland for a quid a couple of weeks ago. Otherwise Halfords has a fairly good set

All this is the cheap end of the market, otherwise bikes hops and webiste abound (but much more expensive)

Agree with Poundland and Wilkinson. If you have a Decathlon near you they can have some useful bits.

    Hi all,

I live in Cyprus with work, was looking for online retailers, and ideally some links to products you may have / use.

some online retailers: wheelbase, chainreactions, ribble, ...

To fit a QR spindle you'll have to replace the solid axle with a hollow one - maybe a bit much for the first bit of maintenance on the bike. http://forums.bicycletutor.com/thread-147.html and http://bicycletutor.com/overhaul-wheel-bearings/ are probably enough to put you off ;-)
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
