Advertising to find a private landlord

I'm looking for a private landlord in the Worcester area. The ideas I've tried so far are advertising in the local paper, Gumtree and boards at local supermarkets and diy stores.
Does anyone have any other ideas of where to look/advertise please
Many thanks

I looked at Gumtree myself, its a dodgy area to look for a private landlord, you will get inundated with chancers offering sub standard accommodation. If their accommodation was that good it would have already been snapped up in the current market. One guy sent me details of a luxurious 2 bedroom apartment with jacuzzi bath, all white goods and advised that it was 400 pound per month with bills and council tax included :-) In an area where the average 2 bedroom flat goes for 500 pounds per month I smelt something fishy, had quite a few of those0

Have a look on Facebook and see if there are any local buy & sell type groups you could stick an advert on. (Make sure your privacy settings are tough so people cant go looking though your profile!)
We found our latest tenant by advertising the house on facebook. Let within two days. Not sure how many other landlords use it, but well worth putting an advert up and seeing what comes up. Just the same as with any private adverts be careful, you dont know who will reply or whether they are genuine.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
