moving american fridge freezer plumbing question

Hi there
we are putting in a new kitchen and need to move the fridge freezer to another room for a couple of weeks while the work is done.
The problem is it is plumbed in and when it is moved it wont be...can we still use it without the plumbing or will it cause any problems.
