**Experian/credit score question**

If the debt is written off under the 6 year rule, does it still have an effect on your credit score?
Experian never got back to me when I asked this.
I had nearly £8000 written off under this rule and 1 CCJ for £178. I've just seen my online credit report and my score is 355 which is very poor.
Is this just the score from the 4 minor debts I currently have listed (less than £1400 in all) or is it affected by my past debts?

Other things that can affect your credit score is electoral roll, linked addresses, linked people (like your partner if you have nay joint financial products - even if it's a savings account...) and obviously your repayments etc.
I would expect that the CCJ would stay on there from 6 years from the ate the CCJ is issued. Was this 6 years ago? As for the written off debt under the 6 year rule... I'd call Experian (their number should be on their site... sorry home ill and not in the mood to go looking for it...) to clarify this.
I have had NO debt written off, NO late payments on record with them BUT lots of credit searches (I was moving banks, current accounts, credit card AND loan after years with one bank... long story) and my credit rating was yucky... main reason - moved around too much (tough that was the way my job was), wasn't on the electoral roll and had lots of credit searches... rating? "Very Poor". Give me another 2 months and it will be "very good to excellent" when the credit seraches drop off as have already sorted to electoral roll thing.
Call them up and ask them tho...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

That's great info! Many thanks. I'll give them call to get things certain.0
