Already have calls with Primus, having trouble adding line rental

I signed up for Primus evening and weekend calls about 6 months ago, but kept my line rental with BT.
About 3 weeks I tried to move my line rental to Primus via homephonechoices, but hadnt heard anything from Primus so I rang them up today. They said they had no record of my order, and that because I already had an account with them it was probably ignored(!). Apparently I should ring back on monday, and their sales team will move my line rental, hopefully with the discounted price.
Anyone had any experience like this?

I assume the attempt to move is to save money on line rental but are you aware that, by agreeing to a 12 month line rental contract, BT will give a £3/month up-front discount now?
i.e. £8.54/month.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Through 0800 800 150 - I rang to enquire when my broadband contract was due to end (because I was considering my options) and, after the usual, "I'll have to consult my manager to see if there's anything else we can do" nonsense when, after the first offer, I said I'd call back after making a few more calls, got half price broadband and a £36 (upfront) landline rental discount (= £3/month).How do you get that?.Is it online or through their call centre?.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
