Biz: What happens at the BNI meetings for business?

I have heard if the bni where small business owners meet up I think monthly to talk and get referals for each other. Can you tell mr what exactly happens in the meetings? Are you a member? What are the good points & bad points of these meetings. What do you think they could do better?

There are also some women-only networking groups out there too so take a look at them - these tend to meet in the daytime and I know one provides creche facilities although I admit I have never been.

I know that 4Networking are looking at women-only networking and these events will be in the evening as some women find it easier to network then as their partners can look after their children.
