Retrieving an employment tribunal order

Options
My wife was laid off last year. The Employment tribunal decided this was unlawful and ordered her old boss to pay £3000+ for redundancy, unpaid hols and loss of notice. They also ordered an 8% interest charge for each day this fee was left unpaid.
This has now gone unpaid for over 3 months, and the interest payments alone have gone sky high.
Does anyone else have any experience of this situation? I would like to know if anyone has recieved the full payment including interest in cases like this?
It would be nice to know that we could get the full ammount of cash owed back, but we have a feeling that her ex boss knows that he wont have to pay it, and that is why he is refusing to deal with it.

You need to apply to your local County Court for a CCJ - see here

That doesn't guarantee that the employer will pay up, but a CCJ will affect his business so may just do the trick.

You need to put in a claim form for an undisputed debt. Once the Court goes through it's process you will receive Judgment in your favour.

That is not however, the end of the road. You will then need to enforce the Judgment if the employer does not pay. That is a topic in itself.

You can add on reasonable legal costs to the claim form (including the cost of the claim form itself).
I am qualified lawyer, but nothing I post here should be construed as legal advice. I am simply trying to point people in the right direction as opposed to giving them accurate legal advice.
