Hiya,
The unfortunate placement of the electrical sockets in our bedroom means that they are stuck behind two separate chest of drawer. This means that once anything is plugged in, the furniture has to sit an inch or two from the wall which is a pain.
Can you buy slim-line plugs for this sort of situation? Ive had a search, but not managed to find anything yet.

You can't get much slimmer than a standard plug, but you can get flat-plate sockets which have a few mm less protrusion from the wall. Unfortunately they sometimes need deeper backing boxes.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

What I normally do is plug in a 2 or 4 way extension then leave the plug in the wall.
It's easy to access the additional plugs since they're at the end of a cable. You can hide the extension away under furniture.

If the devices are fairly permanent, change the sockets to flex outlet plates?

what type of furniture?
Could you plug an extension cord in and cut out a plug sized square out of the back of the furniture?
If its bedroom cabinates / wardrobes etc you would never see it.0 -
I saw this on the news a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a brilliant idea (just wish i'd thought of it!). Not sure if its even on the market yet or where to find them though.
