need electrician, on benefits

Hi,
I am on benefits and need an electrician who has a certificate and can connect a cooker. I was at my doctors yesterday and reading the disbaility news (printed in petersfield) and there was a number to call for a list of local electricians and plumbers who were all qualified but offered reasonable prices. I went back to the doctors today to pick up a copy of this newsletter to find that the spring issue had been replaced with the summer issue and they had thrown the old ones away. Does anyone have an old issue of this newsletter and if so can they look inside for the number and post it, or does anyone know of electricians in the havant/waterlooville area that charge reasonable fees or discounted fees for those on disability benefits.
Many thanks,
HT

This is such a simple job that anyone that can wire a plug could do it. Unfortunately as it's in the kitchen it is seen by many as needing a certified Part P electrician to do it.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0

I know this is a simple job, but i rent and have been told i need it to be done by certified Part P electrician - i guess this is incase something was to go wrong if a mate did it for me.

Technically it doesnt need to be certified, but the landlord has the right to stipulate who can and cannot carry out work on his property and it APPEARS that he or she has chosen to stipulate an electrician who is "certified".
As a landlord myself, I would never allow anyone other than a registered electrician to carry out work on the premises either on my or my tennants instruction, not necessarily capable of certifying to part P, but definately NICEC or equivalent.
So .. back to the original question ... don't they have a web site or email contact address in the disability news ?0
