New filtered water tap, water milky and frothy

Just had a water softener fitted and a separate purified water tap in the kitchen. The water comes out very cloudy and milky. My son thinks it's funny and pretends his squash is beer as it has a head.

Even if you leave the glass to stand the froth stays, is there soemthing wrong??

Thought I was going to get nice clear cold water, not this.

Sounds like it could just be a lot of air in the water

I'd go with air bubbles too. When I change the cartridge on our water filter I have to run it for a few minutes then leave it overnight. Then I have to run the water again for another few minutes before using it for the first time.

Thanks everyone, I thought something may be wrong but seems normal.

Froth is not the same as air, air bubbles should clear fairly quickly. I'd contact the installer and ask, froth sounds odd to me!

That seems really weird that you would be getting froth like that. I have an under the sink water filter that I had installed a year ago and I've never had a problem. I'd call the manufacturer and see if they can provide an answer. I have mine through waterfiltersfast - you could probably email them and see if they know what would be causing that.
