It's regarding this thread I noted on Tuesday because of a few striking similarities to things that happened to me that day ... I initially found it through looking online for what my rights were in this instance, where the police have smashed my front door down whilst I was asleep on the say so of a neighbour (stating they thought I was dead at the bottom of the stairs; well, okay, only went out of the house day before and every other day since living here for years but I digress) but since reading it I have become concerned over it.
Hmmm, seems I can't post links yet so it's the thread from a user called Noddy1 dated 13.4.10.
Aside from a few obvious factors, I actually live in a rented house as opposed to a flat and do not share it with anyone. What has got me pretty concerned over it is the date - my front door was smashed down and in the way as described in the thread concerned and I have also noted the OP's peculiar replies when people have queried or tried to help them, something about it does not read right as others posting have already said, the OP also claims to have used MSE for a while yet only registered 13.4.10 ... Hmmm.
I cannot go into details regarding my case, as I have already got my local councillor involved and hopefully early next week will engage some kind of legal advice in order to get to the bottom of it all. What struck me about this thread was the timing. Knowing what had happened to me that day, I began to think more on it, and as in my case nothing about what happened to me added up. Then I find this thread posted on MSE same day I have MY front door smashed down under similar circumstances.
So I hope you will appreciate why I am concerned but also querying this. I intend to get to the bottom of it and I also intend to find out the name of the person responsible as they have caused my a whole lot of distress, I now cannot use my front door ... and has landed me in trouble with my estate agents. Because when I find out who is responsible I intend to prosecute them for causing me this distress and for also making what I am (and others have pointed out to me because nothing about it adds up eg makes sense given what the police said to me, add to that it's school holidays) now living with: the worry this will happen again, I can't use my door and it's affected my life so much and impacted on it in a very negative way because now I am concerned over my personal safety. At the least it has made me deeply uncomfortable. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before and like I said I intend to find out what is behind it with the aim to pursue a prosecution against whomever is responsible for causing this impossible situation. Because I now have to face the prospect of living in a house which I PAY to live in with no front door access, which as you'll appreciate cause any number of problems.
So, that brings me back to the thread concerned. I am bringing this to your attention purely on the basis of the timing that thread was posted and the member joined.
Incidentally, it's also further dubious what happened because I had already received a debt collecting letter telling me someone would visit my home to collect payment. Then this ridiculous situation arises. And I see this thread on here. I am aware of what tricks debt collectors get up to to gain access to a property. The police smashed the door down because I was asleep so maybe it was a debt collector, phoning the police up with some twaddle (as I've read on other forums can happen to someone) about my being dead bottom of the stairs (which BTW can be seen clearly through the living room window so unless my dead body crawled away by itself you'd assume the police looked through the window? or should have) purely so I would then have them in the house. That is not OTT to say that BTW because it has happened to people when faced with debt collectors who don't get an answer then do this malisciously to gain entry. If that's the case I am now to assume that because they may have knocked, I never answered (because I was asleep so wouldn't have heard them) and they rang the police, then the police would have then acted on the assumption no answer so they broke down the door because of what was said to them. If that's the case, then I'd also assume any debt collector would have scarpered knowing it had gone too far and wouldn't be able to just come and ask me for money ie it would look suss and then the police would more than likely arrest them on that basis for wasting their time.
Sorry for such a long post but since seeing that thread, how it was since developed it has now aroused my suspiscions more than ever. So I now bring it to the attention of site admin because I am deeply concerned on the basis I have already outlined.
I intended to follow the matter up like I said and take legal action against whomever is the instigator. I would also like to make it clear that I in no way know this other user named 'Noddy1' but I can't ignore what has been posted given my own situation being strikingly similar to that thread and of course the date. Also that they've never posted before here nor it seems since that thread has been closed.
Thank you for reading.

On a scale of 0-10 how fairly do you treat people ...

Why on earth do you assume that if another person in the UK just happens to be broken into by the Police the same time as you, then it must be connected? I have never heard anything quite so paranoid.
Besides if you are that concerned why didn't you contact a moderator privately?0 -
i think you have got this waaay out of perspective....0

Surely if you thought this you'd have been speaking to a solicitor this afternoon.
"I cannot go into details regarding my case, as I have already got my local councillor involved and hopefully early"
Councillor's don't do legal stuff btw. They may help with some things but probably not bizarre coincidences on the internet.0 -
May I be the first to say.... eh?!?!?!?!0

Somebody called Merlin was in hospital apparently and this is somehow connected to the police breaking down your door???
I saw a thread the other day when the police broke someones door as they thought they were dealing drugs, but luckily they were all sold so none were in the house and nothing happend and all was well.0 -
Nominee for most bizarre thread ever ?0
