Hi all, before i begin i just want to say that this is a brillant site...
I bought a used ford focus from Dees of Croydon. I thought the vehicle has adaptive headlight based on the lights it has. I test drove the vehicle (during daylight) and it was good but I was more in love with the adaptive headlight. The lights does not seem to point in the same direction and I asked the salesman who replied that he will get the mechanics to fix them. When I came to pick the vehicle the headlights were aligned and the salesman said to me that i will see it moving with my steering at night. I patiently waited till dusk but it turned out that the adaptive headlight is not working as anticipated.
I have three months warranty on the vehicle (free parts and paid labour) and have not put the matter with them as yet. We all know that dealers will try their best to turn my request for repair down.
I requested for repairs to be done but they turned me down
How do i tackle them??

You are contradicting yourself. Either you have spoken to them about the adaptive headlights or you haven't, which is it?star_consumer wrote: »I have three months warranty on the vehicle (free parts and paid labour) and have not put the matter with them as yet. okay lets check something here
have you read the manual on how these work?
eg do they only work at certain speeds/conditions or at all times? The AFS adjusts the headlamp dipped
beam depending on vehicle direction and
speed. It improves visibility when you are
driving at night and helps to reduce
headlamp glare for oncoming drivers.
The headlamps will also move when the
vehicle is stationary and the steering
wheel is turned. To prevent headlamp
glare for the oncoming traffic, they will only
move towards the passenger side of the
vehicle.
The system will not operate when you
have switched on the daytime running
lamps or when you have selected reverse
gear.
To activate the AFS when the daytime
running lamps are activated, turn the
lighting control to position C. See
Lighting control (page 52).
A message will appear in the information
display and the headlamp indicator flashes
if the system malfunctions. See
Information messages (page 87).
The headlamps will move to a fixed central
or dipped position. Have the system
checked as soon as possible.0
