Shower tray & enclosure

We currently have a quadrant type shower tray and enclosure with a sliding door and are planning on replacing it with a rectangular one with a pivot door.

We live in an old Victorian house where none of the walls or floors are straight, and are wondering how difficult a job this will be. We don't plan on altering any of the plumbing, but have heard stories that it is very difficult to get a good watertight seal when you have wonky walls. Would we be better off getting a plumber(?) in to do it.

Thanks

I designed my shower enclosure and used wet walling ( I think that is what it is called) Couldn't use tiles as they would fall off eventually. Also wet walling is easy to keep clean no grout to clean. Had mine about 11 years now and still as good as new.
I think it is called wet walling it is the huge sheets of wood covered in formica stuff that they use in hotel loos etc.
