Peugeot radio keeps turning itself down, any ideas?
Hi.
I've got a 807 54 plate 2.2 hdi. The problem is that the radio keeps turning itself down randomly. Will be fine for say 30 seconds, then go down a bit, then a bit more, then nosedives to zero. If you turn it back up it just keeps turning itself down. I have had the digital display dash up and disconnected the plug and reconnected to see if it made any difference but it didnt. It has the steering wheel volume adjustments if this helps.
Any Ideas before I rip it out and just put a standard radio cd in?
Cheers

Cheers mate, thunk thats what I'll end up doing. Was hoping it was something simple to do with the volume control and/or an easy fix but maybe the radio itself is fooked0

Modern radios have automatic volume control that turns it up when you're travelling quickly and turns it back down when you're going slower - sounds like a problem with this to me. Although might just be easier to put a new one in if you can get your hands on one cheap.0

AVC Automatic Volume Control, Just turn it off in the radio's menu.
Providing it has it of course.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
