  • because I am a single parent and my son is eighteen but is an apprentice and i dont have to include him so still get a 25% discount

    I would double check with the council offices as if an apprentice lives at home he is not counted as an adult for council tax. so maybe he doesnt have to pay if he is living in his own property.

    There are different types of apprenticeships;education based ones don't count for CT but employment based ones do. The OP's son is obviously on an employment based one because of his earnings.
