backpay ESA?

Hi i'm just wondering for my mother, she won an appeal for Esa but was told nothing about back pay. She started the appeal last July would she be entitled to back pay? Also how does she go about getting it? Thank you

She will be entitled to back dated payments to when her benefit stopped assuming she has not been claiming whilst appealing. She will be entitled to the extra component back paid to the start of the 14th week. This should happen automatically and should take 4 to 6 weeks.

She has been get just the standard rate while the appeal has been going trough but she has been losing just under £80 every 2 weeks while she be entitled to that back? I've tried searching online but can't find anything anywhere

Yes she will be entitled to the extra component that she has missed out on backdated to the start of the 14th week.
