you can open a halifax easy cash account, you get a debit card, online banking facilities and there is no credit check, you cant go overdrawn, and hopefully he will be able to come to some kind of arrangement to get his overdraft paid off.0

Sorry to but in on this, but just wanted to express my situation,
I'm on Income support, DLA, CTC, CB, I have an overdraft of £1,250, that overdraft has incuured all by bank charges, I spent 6 hours the other weekend going through 3 yrs of bank statements, and the total amount of bank charges were £1,285.........xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
