Tree growing beside extension

Hi,
I am looking at a property which has had an extension built beside a mature tree. The extension was built 7 years ago when the tree was obviously already there. I was wondering if there could be any future issues.
The extension was agreed by the local council and work carried out by fully qualified builders, so my thoughts are that it will be fine.
Any advice?
Also, if I was to cut it down in the future, would there be any ramifiications?
Many thanks,
C

large trees should not be closer than 11mtrs (35ft) to any building.
what size is the tree and how far away is it?Get some gorm.0 -
If it is a large mature tree you will risk soil heave damaging the extension footings if you cut it down.0

Here are a couple of images...
This is the side of the house from the front. The extension is to the left behind the gate.

This is from the back garden. Tree is to left. Extension can be clearly seen

The tree isn't that tall...yet.
Many thanks for any help you can provide.

I'd be more worried about the amount of shade it will give. Maybe rather than cutting it down completely, you could get a tree surgeon in and cut it back to a more manageable size? For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0
