cancelled min dd & paid in full on time but charged

    First important thing, they need to cancel it not you.

    If you've left it too late for them to cancel before the next DD is due, then just leave it, don't cancel it, otherwise you will still get a charge, whether or not you have paid more than the minimum amount on your last statement.

    So you are in their hands basically.

    If it's not cancelled because of shortage of notice given too them by yourself, then DD will still be asked for and if you cancel it, then the DD will fail then you will get £12 DD failed charge.

    I must say I'm not sure whether you will get a bad marker on your credit file, as you have paid the minimum amount at least manually.
