Katsu, I've got a registered Starbucks card and you do get quite a few offers. It makes a big difference to the price too with the free extras. I've just started getting a filter coffee, then adding free syrup to it, and you could add free cream too. I'm going to start taking my own mug too, so at £1.50 a drink it's not too bad.

Elfen, I don't take much notice of food dates, I just go by how it looks/smells/tastes, I've never had food poisoning! Although a couple of times I've cooked something, taken a bite and realised it's off.

I'm being naughty now - KFC and a film, and I'm going out later, but driving so wont be drinking.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Ames, these are the expensive hardly any fat sausages.....and they look edible, so I'm gonna cook them up and see what happens (and they're GF, and all the other meat is frozen...)

    Thanks Ames,

I've had it in my bag for months. It is great to think it could help me enjoy deals on their coffee :D I just like ordinary lattes - i find the syrup too sweet, but I read they have an irish cream one and love Baileys in coffee so might give that a try.

I took a mug for the first time last week for a free coffee - unfortunately it leaked on the top. It was an Asda one.

Anyone know a good travel mug that does not leak?

Elfen, our parents (or grandparents depending on how old you are) relied on their noses to tell whether food was 'off'. There was no such thing as 'best before' dates or 'sell by' dates so trust your own judgement. If in doubt, throw it.

OK, I don't need to put dinner on for an hour and a half, so I'm going to have a ciggy and play Guitar Hero. Speak to you all later

    They all leak.

Use a really small vaccum flask - they don't leak. Only downside is that you don't get a handle.
