When dose market pick up again?

Hi

Put house on market in an area where property is moving quite fast. Not a single viewing in 2 weeks. Agent says it's the holiday period so no one around to view or too busy looking after their kids.

How long after the schools start up again does the Market get busier?

Cheers

Market usually picks up in the second week of September, then continues quite strongly thru to early November. People are thinking of Christmas & thats there target to be in by.

Estate Agents seem to use these excuses all the time.

When we were on sale in May, they used the excuse of bank holidays. Well, there were only 2 days which were bank holiday, granted, that's two weekends, but there is the week to look at...

Then there was the world cup excuse. It's never ending!

Peope are obviously very aware of last week's 'shock' rate rise... and there's a pretty good chance that any sale agreed now won't complete before another rise...

I suspect all you can do is hope.

I work in sales and lettings - it is slow at the moment... people on holiday or cant be bothered to drag the kids along to viewings or just too hot to bother with it.

We anticipated this would happen but owners dont really think about it. Hopefully it will pick up when the kids go back.
