Rapid Reclaim and Budget Loan

Hello,

I wonder if anybody can help me, i recently missed my signing date and had to fill out a rapid reclaim form and i was wondering can i still apply for a budget loan or do i have to wait the 26 weeks?

As you know you have to have been in receipt of benefit for 26 weeks so it depends. When you make your rapid reclaim it will have to be without a gap between your former claim and this new RR one If you've had any gap in your JSA(IB)/IS/ESA(IR) then no you have to restart the 26 weeks. You can make a claim for a Crisis Loan without even being on benefit or if you meet the criteria you can claim a community care grant.

Why did you miss your signing appt? If you had good cause for not signing then you can appeal and if you win your appeal you will have continuous benefit

i got a letter from jobcentreplus to attend back-to-work session since it has been 6 weeks i hv claimed for benefits on job seeker's allowance. is it neccessary to attend the session??? n what do they do in dis 40mins to 1 hr session:s ???? doesnot any1 hv any idea?? i know the job centre will never find a job for me in million yrs so i am doing my own struggle for it n i think these signings r just waste of time n energy. i am done with my 2 signings so far and i havnt even recieved my payments yet.. what the hell!!..
