in Credit cards
Hello...I am looking for an advice here...I wanted to apply for a new credit card today as I want ot transfer some debt...I did some research but I am not sure yet...well I was looking for a good credit card with at least 12 months free interest on balance transfer...my debt is of £1500 ..
I read Capital one is good for this but if you apply: do they give instant deciion or you have to wait few weeks and what about the credit limit...I read so many bad reviews of this card...they said at the end Capital One gives only few hundred pounds of credit and I need more...please tell me as I do not want to apply too many credit cards...
What about the Virgin or it is even worst...does anyone knows, did anyone apply?!?! How long did you wait for their decision? What about the credit limit?
For the Platinium application to be successfull do you have to earn more than £20,000 pounds?!?!?
Please help me...thanks Liz

No reliance should be placed on the above.

Hi Liz
My advice is forget Capital. I have had their card for 8 years now, but have not used it for 3 because their rates are high, and your frind is correct - they only give low credit limits - mine is £800 - no good to me.
Virgin is good. their rates arn't much better, but they are actually part of the MBNA group. I have three cards with them including the Virgin card and I have always found them to be good. don't take the balance protection policy though - it is too expensive, and once you have started it, they take for ever to cancel it. Citi Bank is excellent too. Try them. The bottom line is - all credit cards are expensive if you leave abalance on them for more than a few months.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply...however I am already a customer of the MBNA and I was wondering maybe they do not give me the Virgin credit card as I am with MBNA already...the Virgin credit card limit is it any good...I mean more usually more than 1000 pounds???
What about the GE Money Transformation credit card...is it any good at all for balance transfer and credit limiT?????
By the way how many times you can apply for a credit card to differnet credit card companies in a short time...I mean in two three days..two times, three or it is too muchNo reliance should be placed on the above.0
