Wouldn't be surprised by a big jump in the ratings, there are so many voters waiting for any valid reason to not vote for the big two.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

Lets keep our fingers crossed for a hung parliament.0

It seems that Brown still has a problem with the 'c' word - kind of ironic as when it comes to Brown I have no problem with the 'c' word.0

Ive read the tax policy thoroughly, cant see what there is not to love.
A serious improvement from the other 2, Ive jsut had a re-read of daves "join the gov" leaflet and lightweight isnt the word.
Im trying to work out what there is in it. Apart from a lot of crackpot ideas that have not been thought through.
certainly, no costings? Loads of bonkers ideas like, funding sure start on the basis of outcomes ( This means cuts to the most vulnerable children in the Uk- make no mistake)
A lot of bonkers hot air about police reducing admin and data recording "form filling" clearly talking about things they know jack about, anyone who has worked with the police to try and secure a conviction without adequate data, hence the scores of crims who will get off on technicalities.ls. Lets go back to the bad old days!
If I see one more person going "id vote for the lib dems, but they wont get in" I swear I will scream the place down. Its the most frustrating thing. Along with the fact that their policies are popular somehow that is a bad thing, as they are "populist" . That's what democracy is: I know there hasn't been a lot of it about for the past 20 years, so some people need to be reminded.
I was going to vote Labour tactically as I thought there was a potential for Tories to get in here, but I cant be that tactical voter and will vote with my heart again. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

What a gift of an opportunity this was for the libdems, surprised the others (esp Tories) agreed to all 3 of these debates. Nothing to lose for libdems, all to gain.
I like libdems, but I still get a niggling feeling they know they will never have to implement their own manifesto, so they can write whatever they want (e.g. no nuclear power stations... to be replaced by ? ). I think the other parties will be sure to reign-in Clegg in the next debates so the choice is Tory/Labour. Having said that, Brown seemed to want to adopt Clegg in the last one
if cleggy can maintain momentum we are looking at a well-hung parl. which, historically - excepting wartime coalitions - lead to weak gov./ panicky markets and another GE within months.
still, something of an entertainment. politics hasn't been this interesting in yrs!0 -

Reducing the capital gains tax allowance to £1,000, and raising the rate to the same as income tax is very bad for business - it provides no incentive for entrepreneurs to start businesses, because most people that start businesses intend to sell them on at some point to realise a profit and start a new business, but if taxes are at confiscatory levels, why both in the first place?
Abolishing tax relief on higher rate pensions makes no sense, because deductions from your salary into a pension is a form of deferred income, that's why the income tax should be refunded (you'll pay income tax on your pension income when you retire). This will do even more damage to private pensions that Gordon Brown has already.
The personal allowance increase is a nice idea, but it's party funded by raising £4.6bn from decreasing tax avoidance - a figure they've pulled out of the air.0 -

Been to a number of these places and there is hardly a vulnerable kid in site. Its full of middle class parents taking advantage of the free activities for their kids whilst they have a cosy chat with their mates.
You should need a pass to go to these places and only the poorest should be allowed.
These places are an example of people in government not understanding peoples needs. How many teenage parents are really going to be interested in taking their kids to these places0 -

Not necessarily at higher rate though.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

Now that's what I call a big bounce! Not sure it will last but it is really quite stellar!
Good going Nick.
just shows how stupid people are. "vote for me i can give you a £17bn tax cut when the country is virtually bankrupt".0
