Also maybe you could be CRBed,I don't think you need to be but if you were staying at one of these fetes ect, then I'd be more likly to employ you.just a thought lol
You can't get yourself CRB checked. You'd have to go through an Umbrella Body. That PIPA body should be able to advise on whether it was possible or not, necessary or not.

I would also add that you need to get out into the real community as much as the cyber one. I would target playgroups and nurseries - a leaflet for each parent. Local surestart centres could keep your leaflets available. Someone mentioned Primary Times - this is a great resource widely read. How about the library, supermarket notice boards and anywhere/everywhere that children play.

So sorry I haven't posted an update for a while. I appreciate all the suggestions and have implement a lot of them! A couple weeks back when I started this I didn't want to do much advertising, just incase I had people calling and had to turn them away because the castle was hired out already. I think once a potential customer rings and your unable to provide, they're unlikely to ring again. We've sorted our insurance out so that's out the way. Anyway, in the last week or so, I've managed to put together a bit of money and buy another 3 castles.. Pics below :)

We're over the moon with the Toy Story one. Designed it ourselves infact :D We are now ready to promote as much as possible and try and take advantage of this beautiful whether we're having. I did the first booking the other day and got about another 5 lined up over the next week or two. This has just come from posting a message on facebook and spreading the word in work. Here's what I got planned for next week...

6 day advertising in the Echo Newspaper (Lagest paper in Liverpool printed daily).. 3 lines
I bought 5000 flyers. We're going to stand outside all the big playcentres (wacky warehouses for example) over the next few days and hand them out. We were thinking of standing outside primary schools when the kids finish and hand them to the parents if this is allowed? We posibly might do some door-to-door posting too although I have feeling it might be ineffective.
We got the website up and running: ................................
Added it on Adwords with geographical targeting for a 20mile radius.
    Added it on Google Maps.

I've checked out all the competition (and there's alot!) and we are by far the cheapest. Whether thats a good thing or not, I'm unsure because I don't know how much searching people do when picking a castle. We are giving all new customers £10 off there first hire. Peppa Pig £40. Toy Story or Princess £55 and Party Party £50. With the £10 off it makes them realllllly cheap. I got lots of loyalty cards printed as well, when a customer has 5 bookings, they get there 6th free (we stamp there card each time).

Anymore suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Forgot to add, we bought some large magnets from Vista Print for the car and been driving round with them on all the time.

Hi Mwesty, please take your website address out of your post and read the Forum Rules, especially those about advertising.

I can blur it if it's breaking the rules. Let me know and I'll edit them.
