Buyng a second home.

We are financially able to buy a second home. Our daughter is having a baby and will be needing a home. If we bought a house and let her live there, where she would be paying all the bills etc. would that cost us anyhting tax wise? I know that if we sold the home it we would be liable for capital gain. Our son lives at…

I completely understand your words of caution, that is why I can't work out whether or not to do it. The father is a policeman. I think that, unless he leaves the police force, he would be in trouble at work if he would not pay up, or so I have been lead to believe. Maybe my daughter will change her ind about working. She is a nursery nurse and is quite highly qualified. She still studies with open uni. Her work pays for the course so I do think she would be giving up too much if she gave up work. she is very dedicated. We are in a position to help with baby care, when she needs us.
