Yes, think they are, but had a quick google and you'd have to eat a heck of a lot to do any damage.. but think I'll have to stay away from it because of my doggies

i would grow things that you use the most. so personally potatoes and onions are pretty useful.
i was doing some gardening over the weekend and almost lost some gold bracelets in the compost i was using, i only noticed them when i was about to put the plant in the hole!
also, leeks and cabbages are pretty simple to grow but are obviously susceptible to be eaten by caterpillers0 -
Leeks aren't eaten by caterpillars, unless you have the leek moth, which is still pretty unusual.
It is spreading and I'm sure in a few years, we will all be netting our leeks, but atm you should be OK, well worth a try anyway. Leeks are good, because you can grow them in pots and then plant them out when they are big enough, having lettuces etc in there first and they don't need much else doing to them, a very simple crop.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
ok I went and found in the 99p shop a selection of seeds, they were in little brown paper bags and string handles, they included 150 odd seeds , instructions ( really concise plain english ones ) the little pots, aout 6 and even the compost wasin there all f 99p, i think it was a bargain!!! i got beetroot, lettuce ,peppers, brocoli, cabbage and radishes
also , but not in bags, just packets i got.. leeks onions coriander sprouts (round two ;D )
oh and more carrots, some stuff in 99p shop was toot , but there was also some really good finds in there too,
lastly i bought a purple climbing rose, that looked alive and growing ( not black and dead loing like iv seen in some places.
cant wait to crack on tomorrow now, id do it toinight if i had an outside light loooolect ect ect ect ect ect ooohhh the blood is boiling! :rotfl:
