squeaky brakes
Options
Please can anyone help, we paid £170 for new brakes and disc as our brakes were squeaky but now after the garage has changed them three times they are actually worse, we dont know whether to complain to their head office. We feel we have paid out good money for bad service as they actually left off a retaining pin on the brake caliper which was discovered by the mechanic who looked at our car in a different garage, though when we went back to them they said the pin was put on it must have just fallen off! They put on a retaining clip and said we should not have any more problems but we have, you can hear us coming from a mile away, I feel like driving my car off a cliff, the car is a citroen, I HATE citroens. Anyone out there know anything?????

Is it the car that’s the problem or the garage that fitted them? What brand have they fitted, sometimes cheap brands cause brake squeal. Anyone who leave the retaining pin off should not go near brakes.
Most cits prefer bexdix disks and pads whish stops the squealing. Also ensure the caliper sliding free on its guide, this may help.0 -

Thank you both for your advice,I will ask the garage what brakes they put on. I think its the brakes that are at fault because we had a citroen mechanic look at the car and he didnt find anything else wrong with it unless of course hes a dipstick, how would I know? Thanks again.0
