I agree. Debt can be depressing enough as it is, if you can't laugh about it from time to time where would you be? It is not obviously the debt that is funny, but the things we all do to cut back and get ourselves out of it. Being a DFW is a positive thing and you should celebrate making positive changes in your life!
  • Having become addicted to ML on the Jeremy Vine show, and in way over our heads in debt, both my husband and I got internet banking accounts. His credit rating is good so he has applied for the 0% stuff.

We have a budget of £160 per week for food and stuff. On a Sunday night, if there is any money left (and we are getting better all the time), we immediately do a transfer to one of our many cards, which are all on the banking system. This means that, as well as paying at least the minimum at the end of the month, we are always putting the odd fiver and tenner towards paying off our huge debts - it makes a difference!

    Worth a try.

If you want a bit of humour then maybe a small chapter especially for the inevitable lapses people have on their journey!

Yes I am talking about the car mats! :p

Martin, you've GOT to include the car mats!! Haha! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Great idea though, and fab that you are donating the proceeds to charity, thats very admirable - another reason why we all love you!!

Wish there was something similiar in Oz - although I have still been directing people to this site!....

    Good luck! xx
