Is yours still in good working order?
Mine has a huge crack on the blue plate it rests on. I think its caused by the water lip as it presses against it when you open it. So i emailed phillips easter weekened to see if they could help. It had a 2 year guarentee apparently and they needed the 4 digit number on the bottom next to the model number. They checked the dates and are sorting out the problem. BTW i never got round to registering the product till that weekend
.
They offered for me to go to a service approved centre but it was to far for me and no direct bus route and i don't drive. They would have fixed it if they could there or arranged a new one. The chap is emailing me a returns label so its going by post he said it will take 14 working days. He also said get a proof of postage incase it goes missing or astray.
Nice helpful english bloke on the phone which was great. I cannot wait to get my steam generator back. As i said to the chap "once you have a generator you cannot go back to ordinary"

Which model is it? As I run a ironing service we use alot of these types of iron. Is the base metal? as most of them are. Bit of a funny one how the plate has cracked.
