Yes that's the top spec model.

Have a look on ebay, see what they are fetching.

There's a Parkers valuation HERE for what I think is the right year/model but it will assume longish MOT. Bear in mind it is a guide also search auto trader to get an idea of asking prices.

It is a sad situation to be in. They won't be worth much, but they will find there market value, and that is all you can hope for, if you advertise on 2 or 3 internet sites. You can try ebay, always possible to withdraw:eek:, if things don't go well, but autotrader and pistonheads will bring more seroius responses in my experience, ;);)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

http://www.whatcar.co.uk will give free valuations, they can sometimes be way off though especially for older cars which both these are. Your best bet is to look on autotrader and the like and see what similar vehicles are selling for.

Well the issue is a friend of my grandma's neighbour has expressed interest in buying them (as mentioned in my first post).

So it's not a case of advertising etc as if this person can offer a reasonable amount my grandma has plenty of other things to sort.

The issue is knowing what a reasonable amount is.

You need to look at the mileage, the older one is worth £300 ish I would say, Unless the newer one has rocket ship mileage don't let it go for less than £2,500 imo. But I'm a novice!

£2500 is too high especially as we dont know when it was registered. Even if it was 99 it would be too high.

    From whatcar

    Volvo V70 Estate 2.5 20v SE 5dr 1999 (T ) 110,000 miles
    Dealer £2,265
    Private £1,935
    Part exchange £1,895
    Trade £1,745

I'd guess that the old one would be worth £400-£500 with a full years MOT (most cars with a years test will be worth this).

Well if he paid £5k 2 years ago roughly i can't see it falling 3k.

Trying to remember when exactally he got it.

There is a difference in the car you searched for. Means nothing to me:

    You searched: Volvo V70 Estate 2.5 20v SE 5dr 1999 (T )

    Grandads is: V70 T ESTATE 2.5 T SE 5dr Auto

don't know if the 20v bit makes a difference
