  • Curious to know. We had our offer accepted March 18th, we due to exchange and complete last Fri 4th. Still nothing. Solicitor nightmare - not returning calls, giving incorrect information, it's endless.

Also..its quite a long gap between exchange and completion...interested to know why?

    Well done thats great news.
I can't wait to get packing, but waiting til we exchange this time before I do anymore,as it all fell through just as I had packed loads of boxes last time.

Congrats, me too! We saw the place in January, offer accepted same day, we exchanged about a month ago and complete this Thursday! Can't believe how long it can take with one problem or another - I've forgotten what the house looks like! Good luck with your move.

didn't think it was that long  Thought 2 weeks was pretty standard, initially we wanted a month but as this had gone on for so long, we couldn't wait a month.

thanks for all your well wishes.

Unfortunately though my husband is being sent to sea today  (he's in the Navy), so I'm not best pleased. Due home 2 days before we move - couldn't have timed it any better eh? Oh well, better start loading up the car this week..............

Bizarre, we have that in common as well! My BF is not in the Navy, but is currently working in Wales so I've had to do all the packing by myself. He'll be home 3 days before the move, misses out on all the stress!

Sounds like a good plan that. Will have to tell my misses I gotta go away before we're due to move, and turn up couple of days before :D

Couple off days after the move would be better, gives her a chance to get things how she wants without you being in the way.
