Thanks guys 🙂
What a stressful evening - watching line of duty 😱 the theories will continue for the next week as we pick it apart and rewatch on Saturday incase we missed something 😆
I’ve finally downloaded the app to keep an eye on the crypto rate my brother told me about and the £250 that went in earlier this week is now £294 , very odd! This will turn into a checking obsession I think, like when I’m on a diet and keep weighing myself 😬 One will probably end up with a good loss and I bet I know which one 😂
Anyway nothing can dampen my good mood tonight as 1). Line of duty and 2).I’m off to the shopping centre tomorrow to use my birthday primarni gift card (unless it’s too busy!) new socks and pyjamas here I come!

Well it was a quick early visit to the shops yesterday, walked straight in but after I left half an hour later there was a massive queue! So many little bits and bobs I haven’t bought for ages, new tea towels, socks, face wipes, hair clips and scarves (no hairdressers still 😆)
I’ve just booked jabs for dh and I tomorrow 😁 wasn’t expecting to get them that quick! Non available near here but round the corner from work in a chemist so ideal for dh to not take time off for long.

Not felt too great after the jab yesterday, dh was fine but I’ve been in bed, still very happy to have had it mind 😬
Not much else to report really!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -
Tricky couple of days, looks like some will be moving out ☹️ The partners’ sister has serious MH issues and was sectioned for her own safety yesterday after but is on her way out today, as dad is not really there one or both of her siblings will need to stay with her. I’ve said she is welcome here but we have a serious lack of space now and I guess she will be better at home. Makes me so sad it’s her two siblings who drop everything to rally around her, most of us would be leaning on parents, it’s a heavy weight to carry at a young age and they know how serious it can be as mum ended her own life.Anyway on a brighter note, the sun is out and I’ve made an early start on washing and cleaning (or rather Morris the hoover has) and it’s line of duty rewatch last weeks episode for clues missed day!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3

Sorry to hear about that NG. I think it’s probably best that she didn’t move in with you - the lack of space could make her and everyone else’s MH worse. Very sad that Dad is not there to support her though - and hard on the siblings, but good that they can be there for her.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hi Vix, yes they are pretty good and being there is better I think, although it will take a while to move all the animals back 😆

I’ve just realised I’ve not done a March update, oops! I guess I’ll do it now but it will be a bit wonky as the daily interest gets added, I can’t be bothered to faff about working it out exactly. We have had a great start to the year being super careful, but I don’t think it’s sustainable, especially not until the end of the term. This week I’m having dinner in an expensive pub with the girls, last time was about £40 ph for two courses with virtually no booze (well none for me 😆) but after six months not going out, you can’t say no really! We usually go to each other’s houses in normal times so it’s an occasional treat. These things seem soooo expensive after so long in lockdown 😱MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3

Sorry to hear about the sister. It's a tough time for all so fi someone has MH issues already it can be a breaking point.
Hope you will enjoy the pub, I think we can be pretty confident that you haven't been to that pub recently. lol. Besides, you are doing your bit to support local business.4 -
It’s been a hectic week and I’be been a bit unsure of what I’m going to do financially so have not posted. Nothing terrible has happened 😬 I’ve just over spent on food and petrol again this month, and been mulling over the finances, ds2 saidthey might get married sooner rather than later with a smaller wedding even though they are not in a position to get their own place, basically as it’s going to be a long time until they can.So coupled with dd buying this year and ds1 saving hard to buy or rent with friends, I feel like deciding on what and when we help them out is kind of hanging over us in a financial sense. So after a lot of chatting dh and I have decided to set aside money for all three of them now, it’s ready when they need it and I want a clear run at the mortgage without having to take from it further down the line.So we have decided on £5k each, it’s not as much as we would like to give but I think in our situation it’s the right amount, they can spend it on weddings or houses as they see fit, but will need to add to it a fair bit for either 😆
Currently we have just under £10k in the offset, we will get it up to 15k then switch back to the mortgage afterwards, this is going to slow is down a fair bit but I guess we are lucky our income is higher for the first few months of this year which has allowed for this to build up.Anyway after all the decision making dd came home from lunch out yesterday engaged 😁 so I guess the timing couldn’t have been better! They have been together five years and he’s lovely so it’s great news.Back later with a plan for my longer mortgage to be destroyed!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
Congratulations to DD!I think £5k each is very generous, especially considering your current situation.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
