Do you grow any salad Newgirly? I save a bit over the summer just growing rocket and lettuce and it encourages me to eat more healthy.

Hello you, it's been far too long!! Glad to come back and see an epic post full of plans ;) & congrats on Eric :D

2.5lb in a few days is brilliant! I can't even manage that in a few weeks at the moment :o

Hi pearla hope you are well , sorry I've not visited for a while ,I hope everything is good with you :)

Cath I dont grow salad leaves anymore , just tomatoes courgettes , dead cucumbers and some herbs this year :D do you find salad leaves worth it? I may still have a try.

I was out for a re scheduled birthday curry last night , way to much wine for a Wednesday ,plus an onion bhaji starter include in the set menu :o I did diet shake all day to try and off set the cals though.

I've just ordered some Alice in wonderland gift wrap fro DDS birthday, we are binding a copy of the book in leather and I thought fancy end papers would look nice :) still need to round up all the bits and bobs I've bought too.

Pay day tomorrow :T this Month is a washout as I've got Eric to pay for, will take a look at the budget later and perhaps set up a new mini challenge and also update this months to see how much I missed the target by.

I did overspend quite a bit this month, mainly due to the big last minute shop I had delivered today.

Its money shuffle day and I've nothing to shuffle as its staying in the account to cover paying for Eric (plus lots of next months budget too). I've been on the phone to the mortgage company again today , every time I get a different answer to my questions.

They have said as long as we are not in arrears and are making the interest payments we can switch to a new deal when ours ends. This is not what they said last time , when I was told we need to re apply.(and then won't pass affordability)

I have been told on more than one occasion that it would help for them to see us making the interest and capital payments to clear the loan before trying to change deal. (is. Op by £1500pm)

At the moment im oping the business loan as that's a much higher rate and then I'll snowball to the mortgage afterwards. Now I'm thinking should I leave the loan running normally and just op the mortgage to be o the safe side.

If the mortgage rate goes to SVR it would be 5.78% (35 k business loan is 7%) the term is 5 yrs on the loan and the business is paying for it , the mortgage is for7 years and we probably can't clear it in that time (possibly clear all but 25k of the 138k)

Sorry if I'm waffling, just trying to work out what I should do really :)

What a long day, I'm waiting for dd to come home home from a night at a friends and it looks like she will be a while yet. Then ds2 has friends arriving at 5.30am for a way too early start at London comic con.

Its the doctor who spectacular at wembly for me and dd tomorrow afternoon, and she has also just been offered two tickets for a show at a fringe theatre in Hampstead for tomorrow evening ,its one of hundreds of places she emailed trying to get work experience at. Great news but I'm shattered , plus its meet the director for a chat afterwards, so a late one again.

Wow muser1 thanks very much , I don't think I could read the whole lot :rotfl: occasionally i happen across an old page from years ago whilst looking for something and its like its someone else wrote it : . Do you have a diary? I shall have to read through your if so :D

Time to get on the train soon, I am so tired there is no way I will stay awake. Tonight is 2x plays in a theatre with only 60 seats both about Irish women in the 1800's . how will I stay awake and not embarrass dd

Im seriously debating taking dh up in his offer of meeting us in wembly after the first show and letting him go with dd. Guilt is stopping me at the moment , plus if he falls asleep he may snore :D

  • Hi Newly, been a lurker on your diary for a while. Another mini lover here, my mum used to have a riley elf when I was tiny and then she went to minis.

Anyway, on your loan v mortgage decision, what are the consequences if the business failed and couldn't pay the loan? Would your dh be personally responsible or would it be a business debt that died with the company?
If the business was profitable then aren't you better with the loan to reduce your profit and then have less tax to pay?
Then if you are reducing your mortgage you are personally more secure if things go bits up with the business, or is the business and the mortgage interlinked?
    Probably confusing the situation more:eek:

Hi blufire, I hope you have a fantastic time it was great! We had seats near the front and I was on the aisle right next to some monsters :D

Hi polly wolly doodle thanks for popping in, yes we would be liable for the debt if the company goes under, we also have our house secured against a second bigger loan of £82k ,however its also secured on the actual unit which is mortgage free and worth over 200k ,so hopefully is safe.

I can't work out what to do :o its just the worry of the mortgage company being so strict with their current customers, it wasn't like this in the old days !

Nice to meet another mini fan :)

I do find salad leaves worth it. I don't have much luck with anything else though. Grew courgettes a few years ago and they became marrows overnight!!

Good luck with the mini challenge. :)
