Oh, newgirly, I am so glad for you and yours that it's finally over - onwards and upwards now. Must be a lovely feeling to be rid of the mental burden of the strain of it xx

Hi Newgirly - just wanted to stick my nose in to say yours is one of the diaries which most drew me to this site. I sat and read it all over a couple of days in the summer. A MFW Masterclass :T

So glad you are able to put this difficult, horrible period behind you and look to the future.
  • Morning NewGirly, glad that door has closed :)

I loved the fact you went to see the poppies at night - what a beautiful, spontaneous thing to do :)

    Best wishes, Tilly x

So glad it's over - a dreadful situation to be in.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Hi NG,

You couldn't write it, the situation is akin to a Soap, but worse. All credit to you and yours for remaining strong throughout. Your relationship with your DH and your children are obviously immensely positive and it appears that you have supported each other throughout each horrible episode and as such should be applauded.

I gather you have lots of lovely life events to look forward to next year; big birthdays and anniversaries. I know you will enjoy them and no doubt create positive life memories.

    Hooray for all of you:j

Wow, thanks everyone for a the lively kind words, I feel embarrassed now for moaning so much :o

Pushkin, are you CRAZY! My diary is longer than war and peace and it's just a long ramble about food and housework :rotfl:

Arkers, we have just got on with it really, people go through much worse but it has defiantly had an impact on us both, dh had a breakdown a couple of years ago. We are getting there though, it's just a case of fingers crossed we can make enough money to cover the wages and pay the bills, anything else is a bonus :)

Hi Tilly, I almost didn't go Sunday as I do like to watch Downton :o I just lay in the bath thinking how lazy of me to not bother, hardly very respectful either, I'm so glad we did go though.

Anyway some of my mfw skills came into use today at work, dh asked about how much a mortgage would cost per month on then new unit we want to buy :T happy days filling my favourite spread sheet and working out different interest rates and terms, finally some one to impress with my talents :D the shocking part is his costs could go down by over half by buying over renting. No idea why as the 20 units built last year are all either rented but mostly sold already. I think it's some kind of green socially aware company that built them , not sure if that makes a differnce as there is not normally such a discrepancy.

I'm lovely and warm tonight in my " grabbit" thermal leggings and top which arrived today 82p per item plus £3.95 postage so I bought 3x bottoms and tops for me, 3 tops for dh and 2 tops for dd. :T not the most attractive nightwear but so warm no dressing gown needed even with the heating off.

My throat is getting me down again, so I'm going to try and get a herbal remedy to try tomorrow, it can't hurt especially if it's likely to be psychological and or stress related. On the plus side though, I have stopped drinking alcohol as it probably doesn't help much - so that's a bit mse :D
