I had a nice meal with my family last night , but today I'm feeling really sad due to michelle's news she will be no longer posting.:(
She has been a big inspiration to me and is one of the reasons I started paying off the mortgage.

Its very odd how you feel you know someone when you have never met, I personally am very private and don't even have facebook, so an online diary is a big thing for me! I guess someone from real life has found her diary which is such a shame, she will be missed by lots of mfw's here.

Right, I am having a lazy day indoors today come what may. I need to sort out uniforms/do washing and help with homework then I am planning on sitting down for a couple of hours and working out some financial targets for next year.

I need to plan the whole of our finances not just allow for op's. Its dh's 40th next sept, plus we have 2 holidays so i need to set up some sort of plan to save up rather than oping everthing and then winging it when things crop up. Unfortunatly working for dh at home is tailing off at the moment so i need to up the online earning which has dwindled to virtually nothing recently.

I shall be back later with a fabulous financial plan!:D

Panic over! just remembered I had'nt added the cc then saw you post about the petrol being down twice, thanks. We are only paying for mine and dd's mobile at the moment (£15) but I will get the twins a contract like mine in the new year as its only £5.

  • I read your comments about Michelle and you must all feel quite bereft. I have lurked and read your threads for so long and so many of you seemed close and supportive. It really is a virtual family with like minded people. Hopefully Michelle can keep in touch with a few of you which should be a help to her.

On a money saving front my DH makes all our bread, rolls and cakes and this makes a difference to our shopping bill. When the kids come home they are always starving so they get the loaf out and make a snack. On another positive note it has much less salt which is good. I just have to keep my eye out for bread flour on special offer. :)

    Good luck with your budget.

Thanks Tilly, I do have a breadmaker but the problem is I LOVE eating it, hence me trying to lose some weight at the moment!

Today I am off to bluewater shopping centre with my mum, with not a lot of money, I shall maybe buy something nice to eat from JL foodcourt, even if its only a bit of ham I will buy something while I'm out.

Xmas seems to be creeping up quite quickly at the moment, I can't really see me dieting before the end of the year with any sucess, so i have decided to just try to not put any more on instead and start fresh in the new year, although I may cut down on wine which I seem to have had more of lately.

Today I will start surveys again, as in my 2012 budget there is no xmas money put aside, I will have a sealed pot for change and the rest will be from *bay and surveys, with the aim of earning £1000 during the year.

you having given me an idea, newgirly, why dont you suggest to michelle to start up under a new name then pm a few of her closet pals and let them know her new user name:)
