Hi - I use the Tomme Tippie - which doubles as microwave and coldwater steriliser. I breastfeed so don't do a lot of sterilising but have found it really easy to use for both methods. Actually, if truth be told I prefer to use it with cold water at home as you only have to change the solution every 24 hours and you can get a lot more in it that way.0

I think its personal choice but i have always had microwave steralisers. Sounds like i have the same as Lap it also means i can keep it tucked away in the microwave instead of having things cluttering up the work surfaces all the time :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Totally agree with the steralisers that you can microwave, as they also double up as a cold water sterlizer, (excuse spelling), the one I had was 5 mins in microwave kept sterile for 2hrs, or if you used cold water and tablet or liquid, that was a 24hr useage.
The thing is with electric if you have a power cut, I know it sounds daft but you get the best of both worlds with the microwave one. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I used a Tommee Tippee microwave steriliser the first time around and it was no hassle at all. I'm going to use the microwave one this time too. Did consider getting an electric one, but was put off more by the cost and the fact it would take up extra room as others have said.2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017

I've got a lindam steam steriliser - you can have it if you want becasue I'm finished with it!!
It holds up to 6 standard bottles (or 4 wide neck - I never used wide neck because I think they're ugly!!) and the caps and teats go in the wee try at the top, it takes a few mins and keeps bottles sterile for 6 hours.

If you're getting a microwave one, check that it fits! Someone bought one round to my house once many moons ago and my microwave was too small and it wouldn't fit!
Personally I have got another plug-in electric one because I like them and that's what I'm used toMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I had a microvave one and when my micro bust it was a nightmare had to run out and get a new one!! Then got a 2nd hand electric steamer one it was fantastic as i could keep the lid on and it would keep bottles steralised for hours. I must prefered the electric one. I also brought some special bags That can be reused 20 times to keep in my changing bag, was really handy to use at other peoples houses. Think they were bout £5 from monthercare for 2.0
